Gallery: Exploring Bali, Indonesia

Indonesia, Bali, Architecture

Bali, Indonesia is quite a bit different from the rest of Indonesia, which makes it a great destination for those looking for a unique travel itinerary.Β  The majority of Indonesia follows the Muslim faith, while the Island of Bali is 83.5% Hindu Minority. This separation of faith between the mainland and the Island of Bali is indicative of the major cultural differences between the North and South of Indonesia.

The art and cultural treasures of Bali are an example of the avante garde culture. The residents of Bali are highly artistic, and sell their creations in the booming tourist markets that make up the majority of the country’s GDP. The locals have a long tradition of working with different artistic mediums, including sculpture, metal-working, leather-working, and other traditional formats — making Bali a major player in art exports.
